The Electrical faculty of study consists of two main fields:

  • Electrical heavy current
  • Electrical light current (also known as electronics)

Electricians are involved in the generation, installation, distribution and usage of electricity via electrically-operated equipment such as generators, stoves, industrial and domestic installation.

CAREER OPPORTUNITIES

  • Electrician
  • Electric fitter
  • Electric engineer
  • Master electrician
  • Electro-technician
  • Millwright

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
Grade 12 Pass with Mathematics and Science.
Grade 11s pass may be accepted into N3 level.

DURATION
The duration of each level is THREE months. Therefore a TRIMESTER is followed enabling the successful learner to accumulate THREE national certificates during the period of one year.
Learners are also allowed to a 6 months semester to enable full understanding of content and concepts to avoid learners being under pressure of completing the level.
