Duties of Health Promotion Officers
Health Promotion Officers play a crucial role in the community. Their responsibilities include treating minor diseases, injuries, and wounds, and referring cases to a clinic when necessary. Additionally, they provide basic nursing and palliative care. A key part of their job involves taking vital signs such as temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration. Furthermore, they monitor outbreaks of transmitted diseases, educate the public, and refer individuals for further treatment.
Course Duration
This program is completed within one year, with three intake periods each year: January, June, and September.
National Examination
Upon finishing the course, students are required to sit for national exams, which take place in March and October/November each year.
Certification
Those who successfully pass the National Examination will receive the Occupational Certificate: Health Promotion Officer, awarded by the Quality Council.
