Revised Course Background

Course Duration

This Logistics and Supply Chain Management course is offered over a period of two years, with two annual intakes in January and June.

National Examination

Students are assessed continuously through a combination of formative and summative assignments (01–16), contributing to the General Assessments for the POE (Portfolio of Evidence). Additional monthly internal assessments, along with mid-year and end-of-year exams, prepare students for the External Integrated Summative Assessment (EISA), administered by the relevant SETA. Completion timeframes vary between 12, 18, and 24 months, after which students are eligible to sit for the EISA.

Qualification Structure

The qualification comprises three components: Knowledge Modules, Practical Skill Modules, and Work Experience Modules.

Work Experience Modules

These modules provide exposure to industry practices through workplace-based learning:

  • Coordinating warehouse operations

  • Supporting import/export documentation

  • Monitoring and reporting supply chain KPIs

  • A National Senior Certificate (Grade 12) or equivalent qualification

  • Basic computer literacy

  • Strong communication skills

Mature-age applicants or those with relevant industry experience may also be considered.

Upon successful completion of the program and EISA, students will receive a nationally recognized qualification accredited by the relevant Sector Education and Training Authority (SETA).
